Lo condecoran y se sorprende. Ruye Nishizawa no es profeta en su tierra. En Japón, de donde es originario, nunca ha recibido reconocimiento por ser arquitecto, pero en la ciudad de México fue declarado huésped distinguido.
Este jueves el jefe del gobierno capitalino, Marcelo Ebrard, lo recibió en el Salón de Cabildos del antiguo Palacio del Ayuntamiento y en una ceremonia -reservada para presidentes y reconocidas personalidades- le entregó el pergamino que lo distingue como huésped especial.
El mismo japonés lo declaró: "honestamente hablando les voy a decir una cosa, ser arquitecto en Japón es uno de los oficios menos apreciados, por lo que el día de hoy estoy muy sorprendido, agradecido, muy honrado de tener esta distinción".
Durante el evento, al que asistieron funcionarios del gobierno capitalino, Ruye dijo que hacia muchos años deseaba visitar el Distrito Federal y visitar las obras arquitectónicas y artísticas que alberga.
En los últimos dos días ha podido visitar y conocer esos lugares, que revelan las obras de Luis Barragán y Félix Candela y le impresionaron: "siento algo hasta religioso, algo muy diferente a lo que existe en Japón".
Señaló que la ciudad de México lo tiene gratamente impresionado, no sólo por sus construcciones sino por los espacios públicos en los que ha visto jugar a niños.
Por su parte Ebrard calificó a Nishizawa como "uno de los seguramente más brillantes arquitectos de la nueva generación" porque junto con su equipo de trabajo ha promovido innovaciones arquitectónicas en el mundo.

La iniciativa de la japonesa Emiri Miyasaka, 25 años, quien contemplaba presentarse con un atuendo muy provocativo en el certamen Miss Universo a celebrarse el próximo 23 de agosto en las Bahamas, recibió severas criticas por parte de los japoneses, quienes le exigían retomar el kimono (atuendo típico de aquel país) y dejarse de inventos, ya que éstos los llevarían al fracaso, además que darían al mundo una imagen equivocada del país asiático.
El controversial atuendo que ya no será presentado durante la gala, mostraba a una Emiri Miyasaka muy sensual portando un kimono negro de piel, donde se podía ver incluso su ropa interior.
Mientras las críticas llovieron a cántaros, los diseñadores del vestuario defendieron su obra, al asegurar que buscaban hacer evolucionar el conservador sentido japonés de la moda:
"Los dinosaurios conservadores y de la moda están criticando el traje, mientras que a los seguidores de la moda les encanta. Sólo me interesan los protagonistas de la industria de la moda", escribió en su blog, Ligron, quien ha trabajado a lo largo de los últimos 10 años con las aspirantes japonesas a Miss Universo.
